Island of Vir

The island of Vir is located in the northwest of the Zadar County.

It is the twentieth largest Croatian island and the eighth in the Zadar archipelago. The island of Vir is connected to the Privlak peninsula by a bridge built in 1976. Between the island and the mainland is the 300-meter-wide and 3-meter-deep Privlak Strait.

It is one of the few Croatian places untouched by civilization, as in other places in Croatia. Beautiful, virgin nature with many magical corners. Romantic beaches with clear blue water.

Vir is 23 km from Zadar, i.e. a 25-minute drive from the city center.

According to the data of the tourist association, the island of Vir is among the most successful tourist destinations in Croatia in terms of the number of overnight stays, and the fabulous bays, beaches, crystal clear sea and interesting events certainly contributed to this, thanks to which Vír was placed at the top of the list of TOP tourist destinations.
